Vanuatu Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources

Brief overview

The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources is the government body responsible for the sustainable management of Vanuatu’s land and natural resources. Our mission is to ensure equitable land access and resource security through robust policy and digital innovation. We are currently leading a digital transformation strategy to protect national land records and enhance community resilience, including the development of redundant Disaster Recovery Centers and digital archiving systems. By prioritizing technical sovereignty and open-source solutions, the Ministry works to ensure that all citizens, particularly those in remote and climate-vulnerable areas, have secure access to essential land and financial services.
