The Pacific Climate Innovative Investment Hub

Charting A Resilient Future for Pacific Island Countries

What is the innovation?

Focused on the four key functions of the Pacific Climate Change Centre (PCCC) and delivered through a capacity-building approach, the initiative aims to offer small grants and innovative funding that are demand-driven, predictable, and flexible. This approach seeks to catalyze financing for climate action in the Pacific Islands by leveraging the PCCC’s functions. Targeted support will be provided in response to country-specific requests, aligned with the PCCC’s thematic priorities and criteria, which will be developed to guide these efforts.

The program also seeks to catalyze climate action through cost-sharing models, co-delivery mechanisms, and blended financing, enabling the implementation of PCCC partnership frameworks. Additionally, it provides a flexible, accessible platform for investment, allowing development partners and funding bodies to efficiently support climate change actions in the Pacific region.
