Earth Sciences New Zealand (ESNZ) is a public research organisation in Aotearoa New Zealand, formed through the merger of NIWA and GNS Science. ESNZ delivers nationally and internationally significant research and services across weather and hazard forecasting, climate modelling, seismic monitoring, greenhouse gas emissions, carbon uptake by forests and oceans, ocean and atmospheric science, and natural resource systems. Kahuto Pacific is a Fiji-based geospatial and survey company specialising in drone-enabled LiDAR, photogrammetry, and hydrographic mapping across the Pacific. The business captures, processes, and delivers high-resolution spatial data to support infrastructure, climate resilience, and environmental management. The Moana Data Service is Kahuto’s digital platform that provides access to this data, offering engineering-ready datasets such as elevation models, imagery, and GIS layers through an online, API-integrated system. Its development is evolving toward integrating multi-sensor data and AI-driven analytics to deliver actionable insights for planning, risk assessment, and decision-making across Pacific nations.

The National University of Vanuatu was established under the National University Act No. 34 of 2019. Its purpose, as outlined in Article 3, is to provide higher education advancement and lifelong learning through academic and professional excellence in training, teaching, and research, delivered in both English and French. The University is committed to fostering international cooperation and supporting national development priorities. The Vanuatu Bureau of Statistics (VBoS) is the national statistical authority responsible for collecting, analysing, and disseminating official statistics to support evidence-based policy and decision-making across Vanuatu. As the world’s most disaster-prone country, VBoS plays a critical role in building the data systems needed to respond to climate change and natural disasters. Through its “Vanuatu Data Science Driving Innovation in Climate Change and Natural Disasters” project, VBoS is pioneering the integration of machine learning, reproducible analytical pipelines, and a centralised Management Information System to strengthen national resilience and disaster preparedness.
